Blog: Ramblings with a few words of wisdom

Forum rules will be enforced by the Admin and Moderator team. We want everyone to have an enjoyable time using the Yummy Mummy Forum, but in order to keep this a happy and welcoming place for all we do need to have a few simple rules.

Repeated failure to follow the rules may result in a member being banned, but we will do this only as a last resort, after a fair warning period. Our decision on any issue involving rules is final but do contact us if you think you've been unfairly treated.

We all wish that this mythical Parental handbook existed, a precious parenting bible that gave us all the answers and tricks to turn your family into the Brady Bunch but sadly there is no such book and there is one main reason for this, Every child is different.

..... fabulous creation really that is part years of practice and part natural talent, now, unless you have the patience of a saint I very much doubt there is a parent alive who hasn't used the "parent auto-pilot" mode. Children are inquisitive creatures by nature and this usually equates to constant non-stop talking, in the case of my children it starts the second they wake till the very moment they drop off, and, if they obviously haven't got their word quota in for the day, they may even resort to talking in their sleep as well just for good measure. I have to admit I was never a fan of "blogging", I wasn't quite sure of the point of it......until I started one on here. It failed terribly, not because it was bad but because it was about weight loss and I am a serial yo-yo dieter with no time to go to the gym these days lol
